Domaine La Gentilhommière has a total of 85 warm and well-thought-out bedrooms including 18 self-catering apartments offering you a sense of space and independence with all the hotel services. Travelling alone, with friends, family or colleagues there is room to breathe for everyone.
The charming Ardèche Verte landscape is reflected in the design of our rooms, with our palette inspired by the changing seasons, warm terracotta and calming greens; mix with locally sourced artwork and natural textiles.

The Maison Carrée
Built in 1850 La Maison Carrée is affectionately called Mamie Marthe’s house as this is where our grandmother lived from 1965 whilst she built and ran La Gentilhommière with her children.
The impressive wooden doors open to what still feels like a family home, the restoration keeping all its original charm. A beautiful handcrafted sweeping staircase leads to five spacious rooms spread over two floors. The house offers a view of the French gardens
Main Building
The Main building is where we grew up and a fun fact is that the late Johnny Hallyday stayed in one of the apartments for two months whilst shooting the movie L'homme du train.
There are 30 bedrooms with private terraces and sun exposure. The first two floors are accessible by lift, and there are also rooms equipped for people with reduced mobility.
The Pavilion
The Pavilion is an original stone building typical of the Ardèche of Haut-Vivarais, which housed the old stables. This building has 11 bedrooms all recently renovated in 2021.
